Rated 5 out of 5 by JPACK12 The One Club... I have been using the Oddessey Tri-Hot Putter offset for 15 years (and I am an excellent putter). Reason? Nice weighting, solid stroke, nice impact off the putter face. In fact, I have changed almost all my clubs 3 times over that period EXCEPT my putter... until now that is. While getting fitted for new Mizuno 800 Pro irons, I was putting around on the indoor green when one of the associates showed me the new iPod putting app (which connects to your putter shaft). The app is designed to show you what you are doing in your routine stroke (to find balance and square the face, as well as tempo). You use this information to find a putter that fits you. After using the app, I found out that I am a straight line (back and forth putter i.e. I stay on the putting arc). Ping has designed 3 verisons of the Scottsdale putter (noted by blue, red, and green stickers) which show exactly how balanced these putters are and "fitted" to your stroke. At first I didn't believe it... then I tried the Blue sticker (properly weighted putter for my stroke) and started nailing putts. I immediately traded in my old putter and have been extremely consistent in my putting every since. The system Ping created is excellent, the putter... phenominal!!! Great job to Ping on this one... who would've thunk... putter fitting (other than length)? Simply awesome putter!!!! February 14, 2012
