TaylorMade R11 Iron Set - 4-PW with Steel Shafts

Inspired by R11 driver innovation, the new TaylorMade R11 Iron is tuned to perfection. Precision center-of-gravity (CG) placements, ultra-thin faces, a Tour sole design, and Inverted Cone Technology make R11 the most powerful, playable, and refined iron ever.

With a weight port permanently positioned in the center of the back of an iron head during assembly, the Precision Weighting Port assures that each R11 iron in the set is of uniform swingweight while also ensuring that the CG location is precisely and optimally positioned in the center of the face between the toe and heel. In the past, clubmakers have installed cartridges of varying weight in the hosel to adjust swingweight, and by doing so have pulled the CG closer to the heel to varying degrees, resulting in a set of irons consistent in swingweight but inconsistent in CG location.

The Inverted Cone Technology inside the R11 Irons promotes faster ball speed and distance on off-center hits, and the ultra-thin face thickness also promotes faster ball speed and distance in the R11 long- and middle-irons. The R11 irons Multi-Functional Sole is beveled at the back to make it perform like a much thinner sole, which increases playability from a variety of lies. Yet it also features a low and deeper center of gravity that makes it easy to launch the ball on a powerful and penetrating flight.

Additional features:

  • Ultra-thin face thickness promotes faster ball speed and distance
  • Inverted Cone Technology promotes faster ball speed and distance on off-center hits
  • Multi-functional sole increases playability from a variety of lies
  • Progressive topline thickness promotes confidence at address throughout the set
  • Progressive offset
  • Advanced groove design promotes increased spin and control
  • Iron construction: Cast
  • Shaft type: KBS Tour 90

R 11 WOW
Date:April 24, 2012
I wish I would have bought these clubs along time ago, after doing my reserch And going into the simulator I hit the rocket ball irons and the Muzinos then I hit the r11 not sure and torn between all these clubs I brought my old blades into golf smith he said try out the r11 if you don't like them bring them back,so I bought them and just got done playing my first round WOW.... These clubs hit so crisp, they feel so good and I did gain some yards on them I bought the 4-pw with no 3iron. My last set I was able to hit my 3 iron 200-210 . Now I hit the 4 iron from r11 200+ very happy I chose these irons go out and get them worth the money and you will see how crisp you hit them.

R11 Irons are Amazing!
Date:April 13, 2012
Bought the R11 4-AW Stiff Shaft: Love the feel, Love the look, Love the Distance! Can't wait to get back on the course after shooting a 76 (+4) for the first time breaking 80! Ball striking was much improved and i had to adjust in the middle of the round for the extra yardage! Great product and money well spent!

New R11 Irons
Date:October 7, 2011
I just bought the new R11 irons 2 weeks ago and have had the opportunity to play 3 rounds with them since. I have the Stiff Steel KBS 4 - AW. My previous clubs were TM Burner 2.0's. I have to say I have been very pleased with the look, feel and performance of the new iron.. I am getting about 10 yards more distance, but the ball flight and height is what I like the best. Solid hits you know from the start, and miss hits have a subtle difference but not much loss on distance. The clubs are better for me at address from the top, and the KBS shafts deliver a better kick than what I had previous. I find that these clubs tend to have a shallower take on the turf which creates more club speed and less chunky hits. I like the spin, not too much, but even with the long irons I am only getting a few feet of roll. If you are in the market, these are worth a look.
