Rated 5 out of 5 by Really good putter I owned an Odyssey 2 balls ever since it came out. My wife gave me a fast track 1 as my birthday present few years ago. I was excited to try it on course, it was a disaster. I totally hated it, I can't make even one putt that day. But I do find the distance control is superb. I can't return it, it's a present from my wife. It was in the garage for 3 years, until recently I need to leave an set of golf club in Taiwan, I decide to retire my Odyssey and buy another putter. Then I remember the SC putter, why not give it a try. Now that I seriously use it, I find it a really good putter. It's just different from my old Odyssey. Again, what really shines is the distance control. I was never good at that with my Odyssey, but with SC it's not an issue. I can get very consistent distance with it, this has avoided some of the stupid 3 putts from medium distance. It also greatly help with the short slippery down hill putt. As everyone says, putter is very personal, you can even find a $10 putter to be better. But after really using it, I can see why a good putter is really worth the money you spend. Thinking about all the money I spend on driver that did not improve my game. This investment on putter is quite worth it. March 17, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by scotty fastback I spent hours trying out different scotty cameron putters to see which one felt best from my stroke. I was looking at the California Fastback, and two Select models, the Notchback and the Newport 2.6 because these putters had the least amount of toe weighting. Basically they were more face balanced for my straight back, straight through putting stroke. They all felt great but the Fastback has a smaller face and deeper back, more like a mallet and for me the off center putts with the Fastback were just better misses in terms of distance control. I wanted to like the Select putters better. I liked the black finish and the more conventional blade look. And they certainly performed well. In the final analysis it wasn't about how the putter performed when I stroked it right, but how it performed when I mis-hit it. And the Fastback was more forgiving for me. Your putting stroke may be more arced and you may find that the Select models are more forgiving for an arc putting stroke rather than the straight back straight through. Putters are more personal than any other club in the bag, including all the new adjustable woods. These are quality putters that may be expensive but when you take into account that we use the putter more than any other club in the bag during a round of golf, it makes spending this kind of money a little easy to take.
