TaylorMade RocketBallz Fairway Wood

The TaylorMade RocketBallz Fairway Wood dramtically increases your distance. Better players increase their distance by 17 yards. How does this happen? A "Speed Pocket" boosts ball speed by lowering the weight of the club and together with the Thick-Thin Crown Design a lower center of gravity is created, which promotes a higher launch with more distance.

The low and forward center of gravity is accomplished by moving the weight of the club forward rather than placing it in the back like a traditional fairway.

The result is is a club the has lower spin, more power at impact and greater distance. The lightweight shaft and grip, coupled with the Speed Pocket and low center of gravity, allow for a fast swing, which adds even more distance to each shot.

The white crown and black face make alignment easy and eliminates glare on top.

Easy Distance Upgrade

I switched from a Burner SuperFast 3W 1.0 and I am getting at least 15 yards carry more with less effort and straight as an arrow. Drawing is a little more difficult but I figured it out after 10 balls. A definite must if you have the scratch and need more distance with your 3W.

WOW. What a great club. Scoring much better on par 5s. Hot face but very easy to control, unlike some others. Ball has a penetrating flight and flies forever. Worth every penny. Very accurate.
Pros: Durability, Quality, Easy to Use, Good Value

Appropriately Named

My search for a decent fairway wood has come to an end. After playing the R9 for almost 2 years, I decided it was time to upgrade. Enter the RocketBallz line. Lightweight shaft, it just oozes confidence at address. And like the pros imply, it takes off like a rocket. Don't have to swing very hard to get it to go far. I'll admit I'm not the longest hitter (I'm only 145 pounds), I averaged around 190-200 from the fairway with the R9's, now suddenly I'm approaching 230. I hit it from the fairway almost as far as my R11 Driver off the tee. TaylorMade has struck gold with these clubs. Just to be sure, this afternoon I tried the R11 Fairway woods to compare, and the RBZ was still 20 yards longer and the R11's just didn't feel comfortable. I'll be keeping this 3-wood in my bag for a long time.

not for me
Date:March 15, 2012
I decided to give this a try (5 wood and driver) on the range at my club yesterday to see if it was what all the hype was saying. It was OK. To my surprise it was a low trajectory for me considering it was a 5 wood. It also seem long in the shaft length, 1/2 more than my several year old Nike. distance seemed to be good but not over the top. I didn't feel that i would have any higher ball flight than my 13 degree 3 wood. i am looking for something that will launch the ball higher from the deck for more carry and less roll and this isn't going to be it for me. It is a very good looking club. As for the driver, good but not any better than my Nike.
