The TaylorMade Rocketballz Max Iron Set is engineered to hit longer and straighter with more accuracy and better feel. The two-piece metalwood-inspired construction in these irons create a low center of gravity and a high coefficient of restitution. The coefficient of restitution is the measurement of energy lost or retained when two objects collide. A higher "C.O.R." means more energy is retained, and a golf club with a high C.O.R. means consistently longer shots on the golf course. An ultra-thin face flexes freely to promote that C.O.R. up to the USGA limit for high ball speed.

A re-engineered face with a new “Toe-Bar” controls face-flexion to direct shots straighter and the new vibration and sound control system promotes excellent feel and sound. This iron set incorporates a new ATV sole for maximum versatility and playability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by unbeleivably long I originally hit the rocketballz irons and really like them and waited to compare the rocketballx max irons to compare them. Both are very nice to hit but the max irons are even longer. I hit the ball fairly long but was ridiculously long with the max irons . Hitting a 6 iron with the max irons about 185. The ball literally rockets off the face with a nice high flight and a nice draw flight. The only downside is the max is not the best looking club but as the pro at the shop told me the iron looks much better when you are hitting the ball long and straight onto the green consistantly ! The pro told me he even traded in his forged irons for these . I shoot in mid to upper 80's but have struggled with my irons . These are very easy to hit with a long high ball flight. Never found an easier 4 or 5 iron to hit as these. I bought the callaway razr x irons last year and didn't like them and reverted back to my taylor made r7 cgb irons . Once I hit the rocketballz max irons I ordered them . You can't go wrong with the standard rocketballz irons ( they are also more appealing to the eye ) but hitting each one at the range the Rocketballz max was consistantly longer. I can't wait for it to warm up ( Michigan ) so I can get out and play with these. Pros : LONG, straight , nice ball flight, easy to hit long irons. Cons : not the best looking club, price March 2, 2012
