Wilson Staff Zip Golf Balls - Double Dozen

The Wilson Staff Zip Golf Ball is the world's first zero-compression core, creating the softest overall feel of any ball on the market. The extremely soft, pliable ionomer cover generates higher spin rates which allow for better control on short iron and approach shots, while delivering ultimate soft feel. The Zip also features Wilson's proprietary PhD (Pan Head Dimple) design. The large, shallow dimples (50% shallower than a standard dimple) promote a significantly higher launch to maximize distance and flight. The Wilson Staff Zip Golf Ball received a gold award on Golf Digest Magazine's Hot List.

Gives a sensation of control coming off the putter face. for other shots it plays like the Duo February 11, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rumpled A great value! I've been playing mid priced balls from Callaway, Taylormade and Bridgestone. This model from Wilson is the most pleasing all around ball I've played. The distance is comparable to the other balls, but what I really like about it is the dead straight ball flight on well struck shots. The feel on and around the green was comparable to anything I've played, and my short iron shots all stopped on the green within 1 or 2 yards after landing. June 6, 2012

I've been using Wilson Staff Zip golf balls for a few years now and, in my opinion, Wilson is quietly making some of the best golf balls out there. The Zip has a soft feel, gives very good distance, and holds greens quite well. These are low compression balls, so they won't be the best choice for really big hitters, but for most of us mere mortal golfers, the Wilson Staff Zip performs as well as more expensive 3-piece balls at a very good price.
