Wilson FG Tour V2 3-PW Iron Set with Steel Shafts

The Wilson FG Tour V2 Iron Set offers powerful, boring trajectory and extremely clean, classic setup with a minimal offset for the game’s best players with truly the game’s best irons. In short, this iron set offers muscleback feel in a cavity construction by placing the maximum amount of soft 8620 mild carbon steel directly behind the impact zone, which provides maximum feedback and a positive feel.Weight is precisely distributed across the cavity and around the perimeter, optimizing the moment of inertia for added forgiveness while the thin, rounded topline and a softer leading edge radius into the hosel imply discreet offset and promote superior setup and target alignment for the better player.

Additional Features:

  • Set Composition: 3-Pitching Wedge

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good clubs - but too unforgiving I was looking for a club with more feel, and I hit these really well in the hitting bay, so I got them. After four rounds with them I returned for another set that is more forgiving. When I hit them well they were 1.5 clubs shorter than my old Taylormade R9 TP clubs, and sometimes even when I thought I hit them well they came up 15-20 yards short. The ball went pretty straight, they had a nice feel and ball flight, I hit the long irons (3,4) well, I just came up short on too many approach shots even when I thought I struck the ball well. You need to be a great ball striker every time to get predictable distances out of the clubs. I'm not good enough to play these clubs. December 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best irons on the market Just got done playing my 1st round with these new irons. Absolutely amazing how they feel when you strike the ball in the middle of the club face. Mishits are still very good distance and direction wise. I am upset that I didn't order them sooner. $30.00 to $50.00 per club less than Mizuno, Titleist, and Callaway forged irons. A no brainer if you are looking for the best irons on the market!! July 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful irons, excellent value for money! As a middle handicap player, I've never liked the feel of the modern perimeter weighted cavity back designs. In my hands, the weight just felt distributed too far away from the desired impact zone on the clubface. I learned to play on a set of 1960's era Wilson blades. I don't have a great swing, but it is short and compact with good tempo and I keep the clubface square at impact and hit a straight, high, though not long ball. When shopping for new irons this year, I was in trying to select a club that had the classic blade feel, weighting and club head size, while trying to avoid what for me are "clunky feeling" cavity backed clubs designed for high handicappers with poor swings. The Wilson Staff FG Tour V2 fits all my needs perfectly, a hybrid between the classic blade and the modern cavity back. The clubheads are smaller that the old cavity backs being replaced, and for me, that it a desirable feature. As other reviewers have stated, the picture on the web page are not the current V2 model. The FG Tour V2 irons a visually stunning, works of functional art. Polished black and silver lettering on top of beautifully milled and polished irons. After comparing looks, performance, quality and price of the Wilson Staff FG Tour V2 irons versus similar offerings from the other major name brands, the V2 wins by a mile. My other short list choices were the Titleist AP2 and CB Forged models. In the end, it wasn't even a close call. The V2 wins going away in every area of comparison. March 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Unbelievable The picture shown is the older version of the FG, The V2 looks much nicer. I have played Mizuno's, Pings & TM irons previously & nothing comes close to the FG V2's! They are now in my bag permanently after shooting the lowest round of my life! Great shafts too! February 4, 2013
