Rated 4 out of 5 by DavidH Great shoe but not a true barefoot shoe If you go into this expecting it to be a pure minimalist barefoot shoe you will be very disappointed. However, it is a fantastic shoe. It breathes very well, is incredibly comfortable to walk in and grips well for not having any replaceable spikes. You can tell that there is some barefoot technology behind it but compared to more traditional barefoot shoes that I've worn it really is a disservice to call it a barefoot shoe. That being said, it clearly is head and shoulders above anything else if you're into barefoot shoes, and clearly is moving in the right direction. Just don't expect it to be your favorite New Balance or Merrell barefoot shoe with spikes slapped on the bottom of it. When I was looking at getting a new pair, I considered this, the Crossflex, and the Nike Lunar Ascend. Crossflex didn't look like it had very good traction with the plastic spikless bottoms so I ruled that one out. Then it left me with the Lunar, and this one. I ultimately went with the Puremotion due to my love of my 360's that I continue to wear. Size wise, they do run small. I found I took a 9 in these when in comparison, my 360's are size 8's, so they fit more like a traditional athletic shoe. Even though they aren't a true barefoot shoe, I really do like them, and the more I'm wearing them the more they're becoming my regular shoe of choice over the 360's I have.
