The Adams Idea Super Hybrid SS has Second Generation Velocity Slot Technology, which is a slot within a slot. This increases the spring-like effect across the entire face, producing higher ball speed while the ultra-thin crown lowers the center of gravity, which improves forgiveness. The ideal sole camber combined with a new milled sole relief improves turf interaction, which produces exceptional performance that has never before been seen in a stainless steel hybrid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Adams Super Hybrid SS, 15 degree I went to Golfsmith with no expectations of buying anything since i was happy with what I had. I did want to hit some balls on the shot monitor to see how my swing was doing. I grabbed several 3 woods. Some that I remember were R11s, RBZ, Nike VRS and a Adams super hybrid. I was hitting most the 3 woods around 210 to 220 yards. I think I got one out there 240 something. I was having trouble keeping my ball flight straight. I picked up the Adams Super Hybrid, I think it was a 15 degree. Immediately started hitting a draw about 250 to 261 yards. After hitting 15 or 20 shots with little dispersion. I decided to purchase. The club has been as good on the course. I can reach most par 5s in two shots. I have decided to replace my 3 and 5 wood with the 3 (15 degree) and 4 (21 degree) super hybrids. No brainer. Rated 5 out of 5 by best hybrid i've ever hit I've long been in the camp that believes that hybrids aren't great replacements for long irons. i never hit long irons great, but hybrids weren't that much better. i found my previous hybrids (tm rescue and nickent 3dx) produced hard hooks and never achieved high and soft trajectories. i decided to make one more last-ditch effort with this club because of adams' reputation and because slot technology really does work to increase ball speed. after some range work and course work, i am in love with this club. i went with the 22* to closely approximate my 4-iron loft but produce 2- or 3-iron distance. the ball explodes off the club face with a high, boring trajectory. shot dispersion is very tight, and the ball lands softly. i'm not a big fan of the black face because after one or two strikes it starts looking scuffed. i went with the stock matrix program h7.1, and have no complaints. Rated 5 out of 5 by The perfect addition!!! This is the best hybrid of the year! I know a lot of people will gravitate towards to XTD because everyone thinks longer is better, but this is the best of the two options this year in my humble opinion. This version compared to the XTD is much more neutral biased and open at address compared to the XTD that is closed and draw biased. For the lower handicap, I believe this is the best hybrid to date as I've always felt hybrids to be too closed and draw biased compared to irons and woods. This is the first hybrid I can have complete confidence in and replace my 3 and 4 iron for good. The distance is perfect, long and repeatable unlike the XTD that is just too long for most any real use on the course. This version is more workable than the XTD as well and is more durable being made of steel instead of titanium. If you need max distance go with the XTD, if you need a real iron replacement, this is the version for you. Just my two cents... May 16, 2012
