The Cobra Special Edition Orange AMP Driver is the popular Cobra Amp Driver custom-made in the Rickie Fowler "Sunday Orange" color. This driver features E9 Face Technology with dual roll and Adjustable Flight Technology (AFT) as well as Advanced Material Placement. These technologies combine with a Titanium 6-4 head and a semi-forged, milled titanium face to deliver blistering balls speeds, explosive distance and customized performance. The E9 Face Technology with dual roll utilizes an elliptical shape face that gives the Special Edition Orange AMP Driver a 30% larger Sweet Zone, resulting in more distance, accuracy and forgiveness in shots hit from the low heel to high toe. The canted bulge with dual roll provides added distance and accuracy to the shots hit above and below the centerline. AFT lets golfers easily set the face angle to Open, Neutral or Closed to optimize ball flight and Advanced Material Placement redistributes up to 15 grams of weight to maximize distance through optimized launch conditions. .

Rated 5 out of 5 by LuV tHiS cLuB Ok, So I've never went all out on a big purchase like this, as far as clubs are concerned. I love the game, and I've always just settled for run of the mill, basic econo-clubs. Finally after breaking the face out of my last two econo-drivers, I said to myself- "Self, you are going to get yourself a nice driver." "You've played with cheap clubs for too many years, so just go do it!" So I did. I've never just bought into having to have the latest and greatest thing that every one else has (R11s). And I like to be a little different, so I did a little bit of searching and run into this Cobra AMP Orange driver. Love at first site! I pre ordered it, and anticipated it's arrival. Wa-La! The golf stork finally delivered, and I was like a kid in a candy store! This thing is B-E-A-utiful! Now, you are asking how does it play? Well, the answer is simple! And in one word... No, two words... Freakin' Awesome! Of course it added distance to my game. I mean like I said, I had been playing with econo-clubs, but I was truly amazed at the fact that I was consistently getting anywhere from 20 to 50 more yards with it. Not only that, it honest to golly geepers (Because I can't say the big "G" word) truth straightened out my slice. I have always had a little bit of a slice, sometimes not so bad, and other times really bad. Now, with this New Cobra AMP, my drives are sometimes not so bad, and more times Really, Really good! Literally, I have been the happiest golfer on the course since receiving this thing, only a few short months ago. I still flirt with the slice on one ore two shots per game, but before it was like 80% of my drives were flirting with disaster, and you know what follows disaster- Frustration, and very high scores. I have a closed grip, and have really been working on it, and this driver has worked wonders for my game. I used to think that new equipment had no relevance on helping someones game, but know I know first hand that my thinking has been flawed over the last several years. I've always loved golf, but now I love it, and enjoy it even more, all because of this decision to buy this one club. It's kind of like having a girlfriend that you could never get past 2nd base with, then after realizing it's never gonna change, you move on, and finally get the girl of your dreams and allows you a bases loaded Grand Slam... Yeah kinda like that! Ok, back on subject here. So, not only do I now love golf more, I am looking forward to replacing my iron set next year. Hopefully, I'll get to experience that Grand Slam feeling again after I invest in a better Iron set as well. This special edition Orange Cobra AMP, is by far the coolest club on the golf course. I get so many looks and compliments about it, and all I can say when asked is "I love it!". Then I show them how much I love it by hitting a monster straight drive, and ride off into the distance. Rated 5 out of 5 by If ever lost or stolen, I'd buy it again. Sound familiar...? We got a new driver and loved it the first few rounds. Then, the more we played it, the less enthusiastic we became? Before long, we started wondering if maybe the other one would’ve been a better choice? That’s why I delayed my review until I had 20+ rounds (& statistics) under my belt. Practice makes perfect. I’m hitting this club even better than my first few rounds. Aside from the clubhead-advantage of “E9 Face Technology w/dual roll,” the mid-trajectory Diamana White Board shaft is the perfect compliment. It offers excellent ball control. According to my Motorola MOTOACTV golf edition watch I’m averaging about 250 yards. Even mis-hits (toe/heel area) go out 215-225, but still land in the short grass. Can’t get too upset when bad tee shots still setup for a great 2nd. The clubhead adjusts Neutral, Open, or Closed. Tried them all & prefer Neutral. As we all know, draw/fade is setup & swing shape. This club allows for both. The only drawback (barely worth mentioning) is the grip. I loved the Lamkin 3GEN orange for appearance. But once the palm became even slightly damp with perspiration, forget it. It would slip on the downswing. After a few rounds I replaced it with a Winn Dry Tac Red/black, made all the difference in the world. Btw, I have the 10.5 R flex. My SS is about 90. Best drive so far, 278. Previous hole, 272. Both were in the short grass. I’m very happy with this club, and getting further & more accurate each couple rounds with a little range-time in between. I love this club! If the orange is appealing, (I think it’s great) of course try it first. You might just say “Wow, really?!” Don’t let the price scare you. The shaft alone is a $300 item. Rated 5 out of 5 by ORANGE CRUSHHHHHHH!!!!! What a combination, the AMP head with the Diamana Whiteboard is perfect. Was NEVER a fan of Cobra, but this driver is awesome. Very solid and the sound is a solid snap. Distance and Accuracy is better than the Razr Fit and the distance is definatly longer. Great Club. July 24, 2012
