Mizuno JPX-825 4-PW, GW Iron Set with Graphite Shafts

The Mizuno JPX-825 Iron Set is the longest and most forgiving iron set that Mizuno has ever created! To deliver exceptional ball speed and explosive distance, Mizuno engineers created an extremely thin and hot face utilizing MAX COR Technology. This game-changing distance is combined with the largest sweet area ever in a Mizuno iron, to deliver the “Balanced Performance” that others simply can’t. Explosive distance with maximum forgiveness is what every golfer has been searching for, and the JPX-825 delivers.

In the 4 through 7 irons, MAX COR technology delivers an extremely thin and hot face for exceptional ball speeds resulting in solid feel and easy, long distance. The 8-iron through Gap Wedge utilize a Mid COR which delivers greater precision along with distance in the scoring irons. Utilization of Mizuno’s Harmonic Impact Technology (H.I.T.) throughout the entire set strategically reinforces the cavity frame to deliver a superior feel at impact. The JPX-825 is the ultimate combination of amazing distance, extreme forgiveness, and great feel that will help you play better, more consistent golf today.

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 65 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Mizuno Technology Maxed for Playability I'm 59, still play the tips, maybe 25 rounds a year, shoot 74-85 on tough courses, carry drives 245, but was only getting 140 carry or less with 7-iron. Was playing Callaway X-16 125g Rifle-S. Researched for 2 months before pulling the "buy" trigger. Had narrowed down to Ping I-20, Nike and possibly Rocketbalz. Went to Golfsmith Austin for indoor/outdoor advanced fitting. BTW: superb value. Swing speed had decreased from 100 mph 8 years ago to 90 mph now - very depressing. Lauren was the Master fitter and he is excellent. We started with my old irons and woods to set reference point. Then tried and measured 6 different irons which were culled to 2, tried multiple shafts then went outdoors with one total Surprise. Mizuno JPX 825 with graphite shaft. And also the Rocketbalz. Graphite shaft in irons - BLASPHEMY! Going from 125g stiff shaft 65g graphite R-shaft in the Mizuno was a very emotionally depressing thought. With the Mizuno's, I had to change my forward swing trigger. These irons do not have to be muscled like the X-16 with Rifle shaft. In fact, any fast move from the top is a death move left of left. with the 825's. Tempo is required with these clubs. Once the optimal tempo is implemented, enjoy technological masterpiece which gives the experienced players supreme feedback and workability. Draw, fade, high, low on command. And around the greens, the touch is very sweet something I very much missed with the X-16s. And another major gift I did not expect was the lack of impact on tendinitis in wrists, elbows and shoulders. Unfortunately, I can't speak for 100 mph+ swing speeds anymore, and I can't speak to golfers without somewhat mechanically sound swings. But if you are a somewhat accomplished golfer with Driver swing speeds of 90-95 mph, these irons are true generational leaps. November 28, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Clubs I hit both the 800 and 825 irons, preferred the feel of the 825,just a really nice sensation when you hit,and great spin on the short irons, and I know this is more psychological, but when you reach for it in your bag ,its a really nice looking club, you just feel that your going to do good with it. I think Mizuno deserves more recognition for the quality and design of their product, hit them and find out for yourself. October 30, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Blown Away By These Irons! Love Them! First 18 I played, shot an 82. Hit iron off the tee on 17 holes to get a feel for them. The only hard part is getting used to how far I can hit the ball. 170 yard 7 iron? The fitting system was awesome! Thanks for the great product you make. July 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Forgiveness and Playability are Awesome I've been playing these irons for almost a year now. They are easy to swing and forgiving. The mishits aren't as punishing as they could be. I love the slender/sleek look which is not the norm in a forgiving club. May 30, 2014
