Mizuno JPX-825 4-PW, GW Iron Set with Steel Shafts

The Mizuno JPX-825 Iron Set is the longest and most forgiving iron set that Mizuno has ever created! To deliver exceptional ball speed and explosive distance, Mizuno engineers created an extremely thin and hot face utilizing MAX COR Technology. This game-changing distance is combined with the largest sweet area ever in a Mizuno iron, to deliver the “Balanced Performance” that others simply can’t. Explosive distance with maximum forgiveness is what every golfer has been searching for, and the JPX-825 delivers.

In the 4 through 7 irons, MAX COR technology delivers an extremely thin and hot face for exceptional ball speeds resulting in solid feel and easy, long distance. The 8-iron through Gap Wedge utilize a Mid COR which delivers greater precision along with distance in the scoring irons. Utilization of Mizuno’s Harmonic Impact Technology (H.I.T.) throughout the entire set strategically reinforces the cavity frame to deliver a superior feel at impact. The JPX-825 is the ultimate combination of amazing distance, extreme forgiveness, and great feel that will help you play better, more consistent golf today.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome I always play with Mizuno and play with the 800 pro stiff shafts....I was losing distance because of age and was going to change shafts to regular but the price to change was ridiculous.I noticed the price of the 825's was way, way lower then what I payed so I tried some demo sticks of standard JPX 825 irons steel regular! I now know I get plenty of distance and do not have to really go after the ball ......I now am back swinging within myself and got back better rhythm and timing, with better scores .....I thought I would miss the feel of forged but these sticks feel and sound great and I can still work the ball no problem. Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding Irons I upgraded to JPX-825's from a set of Taylormade Burner Plus irons. I had the set fitted by a Mizuno representative. I love these irons. They look good at address, and do not have the thick block look like the Taylormades had. The irons are very forgiving on mishits. No perceived vibration. They are also very long. The Taylormade Burner Plus irons I used had stock shafts that were longer than standard which attributed to their longer length. The JPX-825's were fitted to my height( 5'6" ), so are cut down 1/2". I am using graphite shafts as well. Even with those adjustments, these irons are longer than the Burner Plus irons. I have already taken my handicap down from 7 to 4.3 using these irons. I would recommend these for any mid-handicapper trying to move their handicap lower. March 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent I got fitted for these at the local golfsmith. I had a Walter Hagen starter set prior to these. You can imagine the difference. The sweet spot is so big that they could be used for hockey. First game I played with them I hit several GIR's which hardly ever happened even once in a round for me. I still have a lot of work and practice to do with my iron shots, but when I hit it right, these are just perfect, and when i hit it a pinch bad, it still sends the ball very nicely. I've been using the Gap wedge as my go to club for everything inside 100 yds from pitch shots to bunkers to greenside chipping. I'm hardly ever using my Cleveland 60deg wedge anymore. PS if you want to save $ and still get custom fitting, you can order the clubs piecewise with a fitting for $87.99 each. I only got 6i-GW, which came out to about $589.99 after tax. So dont let the prices scare you! With the $ I saved I built a snakeyes 695 3W and 5hybrid :). August 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Incredible I bought these because i got into a couple tournaments and i was using my MP59 irons and they take a lot of focus and energy to move the ball around the course. So i went out looking for a set of clubs that would make it a tad bit easier to get the ball up and down and be able to have a little more fun with the game. I still try to use my MP59's, but i cant seem to put these irons down. They are so easy to use, they are long, and they feel amazing. Mizuno was not joking when they say that these clubs are there most forgiving and longest irons yet. I have been having a lot more fun lately with these clubs that i didnt realize that i was shooting my lowest scores ever (78). These are an all around great club, anyone should be able to pick these up and have fun. I have recommended them to a few of my friends and even they are seeing great results. They are so forgiving. If you are looking to improve your game then i would definately recommend these clubs. August 25, 2013
