The Callaway X Utility Prototype Hybrid Iron is made with a hollow forged construction and a High-Strength Maraging Steel face that produces high ball speeds. This utility iron is designed to provide a better and more versatile alternative to long irons in a variety of situations, like hitting off the tee on a tight par four or into a green from the fairway or rough. Available in three different lofts — 18, 21 and 24 degrees — it also features a shallow face height with a deep center of gravity and a very appealing, strong sound at impact.

Tour-Inspired Sole

Inspired by a prototype hybrid that Phil Mickelson played, Callaway Chief Designer Roger Cleveland relieved the heel and toe of this utility iron so that they move through grass easier and penetrate tougher lies in the rough. It also features more weight at the bottom and a deep center of gravity to help create higher launch angles.
