Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing irons Several weeks ago I bought the Bio Cell irons. After playing several rounds with them I was not as consistant as I aiways am. The Bio Cells just didn't make it for me. I took them back to Golfsmith under the play ablity rule and exchanged them for the Amp Cell irons. Today I played my first round with them and happy to say back to my consistat way. WOW these irons are long and feel great when you strike the ball. I can also work the ball when I need to. You will not be wasting your time trying thses irons and I feel they got the wrong irons on sale, should be the Bio Cel irons on sale. March 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by if you are thinking about AMP CELLS, GET EM! LOVE these sticks! iron play is easily the weakest part of my game. GREAT feel and sound on flush shots. Booming trajectory. I am in LOVE. My mishits, especially on thin shots (pretty much a top) somehow end up pretty much where they would have distance wise on a decent strike. Punching out with these is automatic. These irons look great in my bag and are here to stay. October 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Glad I gave them a try. First off, I'm not a club technology expert...besides a casual glance from time to time I don't keep up with all of the changes year in/year out with new clubs...I just play what I have and when I think a club in my bag is holding me back...I go hit new clubs and see if I'm right or if I'm just an idiot (the latter being typical). When I decided to upgrade my old set of TaylorMade's earlier this year, I went into the store and hit virtually every iron set they offered within my budget, and I walked out with this set of Cobras. For what it's worth, I came really close to going with the new set of Callaway X-Hots instead, but I liked the price on these more, didn't notice any differences in performance, and actually preferred the traditional lofts on these clubs (the X-Hot clubs are a lower loft, hence the extra distance they can generate). From a Pros/Cons perspective, I'd split this set into two groups...the short irons and wedges, and then the long irons (7 - 4). The short irons are as easy to hit flush and as fun to play as any iron I've ever hit, period, and I feel as though a wide range of golfers with varying skill levels would have similar experiences. Yes, the longer irons are a little tougher to hit than some competing clubs, but these offer a better level of control and consistency...for my game at least. I could certainly understand the frustration a higher handicap player might have with these long irons. August 12, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by They are not the 2008 S9s These clubs (Amp Cell) are well crafted and build by one of the finest clubmakers in the sport. They pay atenttion to every detail and they are no short promise of the highest bar of this discipline. However, I had my hopes high, until I saw and tried them today, that they were the true successors of the 2008 Cobra S9. It is my opinion that Cobra has widen their gap of their offering to the high to mid hadicapper and med to low hadicapper. The Cobra Blaffer is your bulky entry level type of club. The Amp Cell is a Mid to low hadicapper club (i.e. if you shoot in the 90's, never mind the 100's this club is not for you). What am saying is that the S9 was a club perfectly build for the 85-93 scorer. Amp Cell are for the 84 and under player and the Baffler is for the 98+ player. In conclusion, from the S9, an award winning club, Cobra spread two ways very apart from the perfect concept. February 20, 2013
