Ping G25 4-PW, UW Iron Set with Steel Shafts - Black Dot

The thin top line and moderate offset of the Ping G25 4-PW, UW Iron Set with Steel Shafts provides a look which appeals to a wide variety of golfers looking for a game improvement model. The sole widths vary (wide to narrow) from the 3-iron through pitching wedge to provide higher-launching, more forgiving long irons, and short irons with added playability and control.

The re-engineered Custom Tuning Port (CTP) is lower than the G20 and integrated into the sole to lower mass and position the center of gravity for high-launching, forgiving results. Support bars align with the impact area to ensure a solid feel and distance control throughout the set. An elastomer cavity badge helps improve feel.

Additional features:

  • Set composition: 4-Iron thru PW, and UW
  • Long-iron forgiveness, short-iron control
  • Sleeker profile, narrower sole
  • Re-engineered Custom Tuning Port (CTP)
  • Stabilizing bars for distance control
  • 17-4 stainless steel with elastomer cavity badge

Rated 5 out of 5 by Very good!!!! These Pings have top be the easiest irons that I have ever hit. Am getting older and need all of the help that I can get -- these easily fit the bill! Easy to line up and ball flies long and straight. March 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Why stiff shaft? Read comment by a 34 hdcp golfer who was extolling the virtues of the G25. My question:what pro(if any) would outfit a 34 handicapper with stiff shafts/black dot configuration? I don't care if swing speed is 120, 34 hdcp golfers do not/should not swing stiff shaft. Regular steel shaft with blue dot might take 10 strokes off his hdcp, since I am also guessing he pushes/slices his irons, so slight upright would alleviate that issue and regular shaft would foster a smoother swing. Playing golf 50 years, still single digit hdcp, so I do know what I am talking about! January 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by LOVE THESE IRONS I bought these after an iron fitting session at my local store. I had been looking at the G15s and after several swings under the launch monitor I found out these are for me. I tried the X-Hots from Callaway and some Mizuno irons, these didn't have the same flight the G25s offered. For me they are the perfect fit, I have played two rounds since I bought them and consistency is what I've noticed. As long as I keep my head down and hit it, ball flight makes me feel like a pro. I recommend getting fit if they offer it, best 45 minutes I've spent trying to improve my game. November 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Opened up new part of my game! I can finally hit long irons consistently straight! I was hitting a 15 year old pair of Bob Foster Pro Tours before I sprung the cash for modern irons. They hit like a dream in the Golfsmith simulator, but when I took them home to the range I was alittle rusty with them. Which seems normal for a beginner hitting new irons. As I am getting used to them I have realized one joyous discovery. The long irons are actually hittable! I can pull out a 5 iron with confidence and smack it 175ish yards. I havent tried any shot shaping yet so i cant comment on that. They seem forgiving when I hit the club face. Obviously no iron is going to bail you out when you top the ball or hit the dirt 5 inches behind the ball. They look beautiful at the address. You cant even see the offset on the higher irons. I sadly find myself laying in bed fantasizing about how well these will help my game in a month when I am totally adjusted to new irons. If you got the cheddar, buy them. If you dont have the cheddar, save up for them! They are worth it. July 2, 2013
