Lamkin iLINE .580 Grip

Lamkin and IOMIC joined forces to create a revolutionary new golf grip, the Lamkin iLINE Grip. This grip combines the low-torque and tacky feel of an advanced elastomer material with the proven high-traction performance of the Crossline surface pattern. The innovative fusion of technology delivers a grip that is both incredibly secure and exceedingly comfortable, and forever eliminates the compromise between feel and performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best swing grip on the market, period. Firstly, let me say that I have the 'GRIP YIPS." I have hands than respond extremely poorly to most traditional sizes (standard, midsize, etc.) and taper styles. That being said, I've been searching for a grip that hits on the following bullets: -- comfortable shape/mid-shock absorption -- good tackiness and resistance to loosing it -- responsiveness, ability to feel the ball -- =/<50 grams -- good looks Additionally, I've been disappointed by these new "advanced material grips" without real rubber. I have found they have massive downsides esp how much maintenance is required to keep them useable. Lamkin really hit a homerun here. They've always released grips that are slightly larger than say, GP, w/ less taper, more durable, and much less expensive..all stuff golfers could benefit from. These are no exception. I regripped all my clubs (including my putter-- with a round iLine) with the black/grey model. I have limited experience with Iomic grips but admired their "tour velvet-y softness" with that extra bit of give (felt the stickies and x-grips a couple times briefly). Downside, regripping costs 200 bucks. The iLine gives me that exact same technology/feel for basically half price... plus sizes that are predictable for any Lamkin user. I've played several rounds with my new grips and here are my thoughts: --These are really, REALLY tacky and provide a firm but cushioned feel. Gloveless is A-OK --Good vibration dampening without canceling feedback whatsoever. --Unlike the 3Gen material, these do way better in dusty, dry climates as far as keeping tack as they collect grime. You still have a totally playable grip for several rounds before cleaning. --Rub down with wet washcloth and pat down with dry towel to clean... Only dirt is lifted and no material. I can see these lasting two seasons at least. --Black and grey cap looks good, understated with classic Lamkin signature and shallow crossline pattern. --All 14 grips weighed either 49.7, 49.8, or 49.9 grams. A few downsides: --despite the $9.99 comparative price point, they are a premium grip and will cost some good coin to do a set. $7.99 would be better --most color options are "flat-bill-esque," in their "look at me neon" glory. No red?? -- Due to tackiness of elastomer material, be sure to use that extra bit of mineral spirits to ensure easy on. --No ribbed version available. Get these while they're around because Lamkin did not expect the massive interest (not sure why though) and was back ordered at one point... I'd recommend to anyone looking for a "velvet-style" performance grip who also wants some added comfort, style, and durability. Clubmakers will appreciate the quality control. April 7, 2013
