Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 29 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rock Solid High Handicapper Club Bought these today used at Goldsmith for an unbelievable price and played a quick nine. These are straight as an arrow. I had a few goofs that were operator error (mis-strikes), but any reasonable contact went straight and far. Did I mention they are long? Prior to today I could not hit an iron lower that my 7. I could hit anything inside 150 with relative consistency but I was missing a club or clubs that filled the 160-200 yard range. Today I spanked one 195 yards with the 5 iron. High arch and right on the green. I've only used the, once but I am sold on their merits. I've hit shots I never came close to hitting before. April 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Irons I ever hit Just purchased a set of JPX EZ and by far the best irons I ever hit. I am a 15 handicap and I wanted to upgrade from my Callaway Diablo's. I went to get fitted thinking I wanted the new G30's or the AP1's. I am not a brand loyalist I am more about performance!! I hit everything in the store, Taylor Made SLDR, Ping G30, AP1's, and then the gentlemen asked me to hit the JPX's? I had never considered looking at them as I was set on the G30 or AP1's. I could not believe the results as my 7-iron (Stiff shafts) were around 165 yds with the SLDR, G-30, and AP1. I was set on the G30 until I hit the JPX's!! With the JPX my dispersion rate was tighter even on mishits but my distance was easily another 15-20 yds consistently pass the other irons. Now I have to get out on the course as my game has just changed and I have to learn distance control again, but WOW I would highly recommend trying these clubs before you spend the $$ on anything else. Rated 5 out of 5 by Long, precise, playable, and look great! After using the 2009 top of the line PING Rapture V2s for a couple of years, and after extensive research, I decided to upgrade my irons to the Mizuno JPX EZ. The leap in technology is clear, a much compact club with all the max-game improvement Mizuno can muster into a player type iron. The clubs are much lighter than most max-game improvement clubs, so club speed control will require some range time to get used to them. At full swing speed I started flying the ball over my targets, so I went one club higher and with perfect contact also flew over some flags. On center hits the clubs give lots of feedback and the sound is crisp, even with soft centered balls (I used Pro V1X and Wilson Duo during my first round with the new clubs). Off centered hits travel just as much as well hit balls but the sound is a little muted. At address the top of the club is the right thickness, giving you confidence to hit the ball. The only thing that I did not like about the clubs are the grips. They are Golf Pride made standard rubber grips. They ate thru a used Foot Joy Spider2 glove easily. I found them a little harsh, eventually I'll change them for Winn Dry Tacs. Minor stuff with an otherwise perfect set of irons. These are improved Mizuno JPX 825 Pros, with a perfect balance on off center hits and more distance. Mizuno changed the classic silver color and blue badging for a more modern bronze tint and orange accents, making these very eye pleasing clubs. You'll be amazed at how much these clubs can help your game. Take the risk, try these at your golf store. You'll end up buying them! December 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by clubs to grow into I'm a beginner who has had only 3 months of driving range experience and these clubs make it easy to look like i've been doing this for years... All I can say is, if you're looking for forgiveness, then these clubs really help you out. They are a bit loud when you make contact with the golf ball (kind of like smashing two billiard balls together) and I really like that bc it gives me an audible validation as well as the 'feel' of the club's sweet spot allowing me to know if I was able to get an average to awesome swing. The ultimate outcome is seeing the ball go where you intended it to go and I've had no complaints so far. Didn't really consider mizuno at first, but after trying it out at the store and going to the driving range 4 days straight with these clubs- I love them. I may even consider trading them in for the forged set. I really feel confident with these clubs and I really like the gunmetal look. I only wish this set came with a 3 iron bc it would be perfect. To give you an idea of what clubs I was looking for prior to having a golfsmith sales rep recommendation, I was looking at these other clubs and really found the JPX EZ my favorite: Titleist AP1s, Callaway X Hots, Taylormade Rocketblades, and Ping G20/G25. You won't regret these clubs- they're a pretty penny, but for good how they make you look on the driving range (or golf course), they are worth it. September 20, 2013
