TaylorMade SLDR Driver

Loft up for More Distance the TaylorMade SLDR Driver's CG location is low-and-forward, a monumental shift in metalwood thinking. For decades it has been accepted that a low-and-back CG is best. Moving the CG forward promotes faster ball speed and lower spin. And in order to get the most distance from SLDR, you have to change the way you think about loft.

FACT: High Launch + Low Spin + More Loft = More Distance

No longer is playing a driver with 12 degrees of loft something to be ashamed of. In fact, former British Open Champion Stewart Cink is playing a 12 degree SLDR. While it was admittedly strange to him at first, once he started carrying the ball past his playing competitors, he was sold. Try lofting up yourself to see just how much it will benefit your game. Youll be blown away.

SLDR maximizes distance for all golfers

  • Low forward CG makes SLDR TaylorMade's lowest spinning driver ever
  • SLDR unlocks that distance by enabling the golfer to hit the ball higher with less spin WHEN THEY ADD LOFT
  • SLDR can help all golfers get closer to the ideal launch conditions of 17°/1700rpm
  • All golfers can achieve distance gains w/out changing their swing or ball speed

"Our expertise at positioning the center of gravity low and forward in a driver sets us apart from our competitors and is vital to making SLDR the spectacular distance machine that it is."

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 17 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by SLDR DRIVER IS SOLID When I hit the sweet spot it is very solid. I just need to play with the adjustments as well as I left it in the neutral position. Only played with it twice so I need to go to the range and work on the swing. I've never been disappointed with any Taylor made product and this should be no different. So far it's very good. Rated 3 out of 5 by Just next years model... I gave it 3 stars not because its a bad club. Its just not much different, even with the cool new little features. Adjusting for a Draw/Fade is a good idea to me if it worked. I have a natural draw. Well, the draw setting the ball still drew, and the fade setting the ball well...drew? Its about as long off the tee as anything else that can be hit today. So no added bonus there. Sound it makes when striking the ball sounds a little hollow to me. But just an opinion. Higher rating if the price was a little lower. You can get many other clubs that perform just as well if not better for a cheaper more affordable price without all the useless settings. Rated 5 out of 5 by SLDR Driver Great driver very forgiving. I am a 10 handicap, been playing golf for 40 plus years and this club seams to one of the most forgiving drivers I have owned. Not to mention it's long off the tee. March 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by No Misses My previous driver was a Taylor Made Superfast TP and I hit it about 270, but lost it more than I would like to admit in the woods. I have now played five rounds with the SLDR and haven't noticed much improvement in distance, but it has been cold with wet fairways. What I have noticed is my mishits have all been between the tree lines. I can't seem to make this thing hit a ball in the woods. December 28, 2013
