Adams Tight Lies Tour Fairway Wood

The new Adams Tight Lies Tour Fairway Wood will revolutionize the game just as the original did. The playability from every type of lie, and the ease at which golfers can get the ball in the air, makes the Tight Lies Fairway Wood the perfect club to hit those long par-4's and par-5's. For the first time in a long time, you will love hitting a fairway wood again.

The revolutionary cut-through Velocity Slot Technology creates a hotter face, one twice as hot as the original, and the low-profile, upside-down design produces a larger impact area below the ball for better contact and an easier launch out of a multitude of lies. The original tri-level sole design reduces the amount of turf interaction to increase performance from the fairway, the rough, or tight lies.

Additional features:

  • Shaft: Aldila Tour Blue 65
  • Grip: Full Choice Adams Standard

Rated 5 out of 5 by Adams Tight Lies Tour Fairway wood My son recently participated in an Adams demo day at the club where he works. He's a 1 handicap with an unreal clubhead speed (280-300 yard drives are common). He was using a competitor's 3 wood and was not getting the results he needed very often. At the demo day, the rep had a flightscope set up and they checked his "calculated" distance and actual spin with both the competitor's club and the Tight Lies Tour 3 wood. Spin rate on the competitor's club was just under 4000 rpm with a dispersion of about 15 yards. The Tight Lies tour 3 wood (same loft) spin rate was 2100 rpm, dispersion dropped under 10 yards and the calculated distance was 20 yards longer with the Tight Lies. Needless to say, based on the data, this is a club that is worth the money. I'm a retired Six Sigma Master Black Belt (data driven process design/improvement). One of my credo's is "In God we Trust, everyone else brings data". The spin and distance data produced by this club is not a fluke. Adams also stands behind their products. I had a 3 year old Adams Super LS 13.5 degree 3 wood with Fubuki shaft. One of the counterweights came out of the club and the head was not repairable. Adams replaced the head and put a newer current 3 wood head on my existing shaft with no coercion. You can trust the company and the new Tight Lies Tour 3 woods to provide more enjoyment and improve your game. The data does not lie. May 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very impressed ! I still carry the old adams 7 wood in my bag .When I lost it awhile back I quickly found a replacement. That said, when they came out with the new version I ordered the 16 degree right away. Fed Ex dropped it off last night so I went straight to the range and man was I impressed . I hit this club so nicely . I had been struggling with my 3 wood for awhile so that part of my game had been dead . I carried the 4 wood 200 yards . Im 53 with a swing speed of 85 or so . I put several balls in the rough and hit them out very well . The ball came out hot and long almost every time . I cant wait to get this club out on the course today. I plan to use it off the tee on the short par 4's and on the really tight fairways . I got a new ping driver yesterday also but all I want to talk or write about is this awesome fairway wood . Probably will get the 14 degree as well . Awesome club awesome investment August 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by 3 wood I have played for 20+ years and have hit more woods than I can recall. This Adams is the easiest, longest and best control of any. It was actually startling when I first hit it. I play to a 5 HC and I think anyone regardless of HC will totally enjoy these woods. January 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Recently bought the 3 and 5 wood with stiff shafts. Great off the tee and from fairway and especially the rough. Good ball flight and shape. Really impressed by these clubs. Should certainly be given serious consideration when looking at fairway woods. 10/10 December 1, 2013
