Titleist Premium Carry Bag

The Titleist Premium Carry Bag features an eight-way, padded, mesh-covered top-cuff, and the extended top-cuff elevates the bag from the ground during play, leaving your clubs dry and hanging freely. A water-repellent panel covers the length of the bag and bottom, and a two-point sling allows for quick and easy on and off.

Additional features:

  • CoolMax mesh-covered hip pad
  • Side saddle ball pocket
  • Side saddle apparel pocket

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by enough! good product good design. but no rain cover. simple & lightweight for 9 holes game or indoor practice. not for 18 hole game or cart carrying. August 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Sunday Bag out there I've been looking for a decent Sunday bag for a while. I'm a minimalist when it comes to golf, and tend to take the fewest number of clubs that I can get away with (usually 8-10 clubs). As such, even the most lightweight and compact stand bags are still far bigger than I need to get through a round. I've looked at a few other Sunday bags (Ping Moonlite, Callaway Hyperlite 1), but the Titleist Premium intrigued me because of the 8 way divider, primarily because most Sunday bags are lacking because the clubs tend to tangle, and they are made of inferior materials. Titleist has a true winner here. I had to buy it sight unseen because my local Golfsmith did not carry it, but based on other Titleist bags I've had in the past, I figured it would be a safe bet, and it was. Pros: It is definitely made of sturdy nylon, and has a heavy rubberized belly to prevent dew from seeping in when laid down on the grass. The 8 way divider is superb. It easily fits my 9 primary clubs (3W, 5W, 3/5/7/9 Irons, PW, LW, Odyssey 2 Ball/Rossie II Putter) without issue. It is padded, and does a good job of keeping clubs secure, protected, and preventing bag chatter (a true walkers #1 pet peeve). The divider also has a heavy duty plastic handle on the ground side to make the bag easy to pick up, or in my case, easy to hang on a coat hook in the closet. The bag has a thick pad on the hip, so the club shafts do not get drawn straight into your back, unlike the Ping Moonlite and other carry bags. The 2 pockets are ample, and are big enough to hold 12+ balls, several gloves, a bag of tees, and maybe a sweatshirt/light jacket if needed. The strap is well padded, easily adjustable, and is only a single strap (some walkers do not like doubles). The main thing that impressed me is that the Titleist logos were embroidered with heavy weight thread - I only expected them to be screen printed - so the bag looks as good as it functions. The bag also easily collapses, so you may be able to pack it away if you have to travel and want to ship your clubs ahead of you. Cons: None, so long as you are aware of what Sunday Bags typically have/do not have. For those who ordinarily do not use these bags, I will elaborate. The bag does not have a water bottle pouch - not a huge problem for me since my locals have watering stations/fountains, but something to be aware of. The strap isn't the most comfortable, but you could easily put a different strap on if you prefer. The strap also falls all of the way to the ground when sat down, unlike the Ping Moonlite with its unique standing strap. The bag will also not stand on its own, and sags when propped up against a wall - again, a common theme with Sunday bags, but something that may be an issue if you are forced to ride a cart - strapping it up could be an issue. While there is a rib to help keep the bag somewhat rigid while carrying, it provides very little protection to the shafts from something falling on your bag- again, not a problem if you know what you are getting in to. To me the biggest problem with this bag is that the openings in each of the 8 divider slots are fairly snug - some Sunday bags claim that they can fit all 14 clubs - This one may be a challenge to get all 14 in there. The divider is very snug, which is perfect for my small 8-10 club outfit, but if you want to get all 14 in there, some slots kind of fit 2 clubs, but others definitely do not. I'd say that 11 would be the max to prevent tangling. Again, not a problem if you are a minimalist like me, but if you want to carry all 14 clubs, you will have issues. The 8 way divider only applies to the top cuff itself - If you were hoping for even 1 or 2 full length panels in the bag to keep things organized, this bag doesn't have it. I wish it had a plastic cap on the end to aid in durability - my old Sunday bag had one, and it was a hand-me-down from my stepdad that he used for 20 years before he gave it to me. If this bag fails, it will be due to wear on the bottom end. Overall: Another quality Titleist product, as should be expected. A high quality bag with premium divider that other bags do not have. I like it. It is very lightweight and seems quite durable. I have confidence that it will last quite some time, and will fit my needs easily. I may throw a different strap on it at some point, but that is all that I would change. The price may be a little high for something that is not much more than a duffel bag with a club divider on the end, but other comparable Sunday bags are only maybe $10-20 less. It is infinitely more comfortable to carry than the Ping Moonlite because of the hip pad. The 8 way divider is truly the biggest draw though - it is superb. A walkers dream carry bag. July 25, 2014
