TaylorMade SpeedBlade 4-PW, AW Iron Set with Steel Shafts

The new elongated Speed Pocket of the TaylorMade SpeedBlade Irons delivers more speed, forgiveness, and distance of any TaylorMade iron. The Speed Pocket creates a faster face and more ball speed across a larger area of the face: from the center, down low, towards the toe, and towards the heel. Combine that with the lowest center of gravity (CG) of any TaylorMade distance iron, and the SpeedBlade is easier to launch for a high, strong, penetrating flight.

New elongated Speed Pocket delivers more ball speed across a larger area of the face.

SpeedBlade's Hot Face

Lowest CG of any TaylorMade distance iron for easy launch and high flight.

SpeedBlade's CG

The advanced head structure, Speed Pocket polymer, and multi-material badge absorb unwanted vibration to promote fantastic sound and feel. Each iron comes individually engineered to optimized distance, trajectory, control, and spin, thus balancing the distance gaps between each iron. That makes every iron in your bag a valuable asset, and the excellent long-iron distance closes the gap between your longest iron and shortest metal wood.

SpeedBlade's Face Flex

The Tour-inspired, Tour-shaped wedges feature blade-style construction for a great feel, and the ATV sole found in the sand and lob wedges allows for improved versatility from all lies.

SpeedBlade's Wedge

Five years ago, we challenged ourselves to create the best distance iron we could. We've taken everything we've learned in that time and made our most complete iron ever in SpeedBlade. It's combination of distance, performance, and forgiveness is unmatched.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful set of clubs These irons are absolutely beautiful. Was fitted at the Golfsmith in Troy, Michigan on a monitor. While some people believe the only way to truly get fit for clubs is to hit them outside to get their true performance, that's not always the case. I actually hit these clubs better on the course than in the store. The confidence the Speedblades give you when you see the ball jump off the clubface is amazing. I am 2 clubs longer than my older clubs. However, if you are currently hitting stiff shaft irons, Taylormade's regular flex may be more than enough to get the flight, distance and accuracy you are looking for. October 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great irons!! I have been playing with these irons for about 2 weeks now and I just love them. Hitting them higher and a little longer. It is still a work in progress with them, but I really do like them. July 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Go get these irons! These are awesome. I had a 10-year old set of RAC LT irons which I've always liked. After 10 years it was time to upgrade. I hit the ball high and long already, and these irons added a good 15 yds to each clubs due to the face and the clubs being de-lofted...however I hit the ball just as high as usual with each club. Amazing distance and forgiveness. Hit a 210yd 8-iron and 190yd PW w/the wind...hit a 190yd 6-iron into the wind off the toe! My only gripe (and it's a minor one) is that the feel at impact is less than my previous Taylormade irons...but after each swing you look up and the ball is absolutely flying. Something unique and kinda cool with these irons is due to their dark silver color, it's obvious after each shot where on the face the ball was struck. It's like having impact tape on every swing, but it just wipes right off...I like that also June 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Not Longer, but More Control and Still Forgiving My previous irons were the original Taylormade Burners which were good for a novice and which I liked pretty well. I'm now a 9 handicap and wanted something in between the Burners and a true blade. I've played the SpeedBlades four times now and am very happy with them. As far as controllability, I'm now better able to shape shots and recover from poor drives. Contact feels very good--swish, click. Poor contact doesn't seem to punish me any more than it did with the Burners. Ball flight is definitely higher so that balls which might have run across and over the green when hit with a Burner iron now stay put. My experience is that the clubs don't carry any farther. In fact, the Pitching Wedge and 9- and 8-irons feel like they don't carry as far as their Burner counterparts. I'm neutral on the way they look. Overall, highly recommended May 12, 2014
