TaylorMade SpeedBlade 4-PW, AW Iron Set with Graphite Shafts

The new elongated Speed Pocket of the TaylorMade SpeedBlade Irons delivers more speed, forgiveness, and distance of any TaylorMade iron. The Speed Pocket creates a faster face and more ball speed across a larger area of the face: from the center, down low, towards the toe, and towards the heel. Combine that with the lowest center of gravity (CG) of any TaylorMade distance iron, and the SpeedBlade is easier to launch for a high, strong, penetrating flight.

New elongated Speed Pocket delivers more ball speed across a larger area of the face.

SpeedBlade's Hot Face

Lowest CG of any TaylorMade distance iron for easy launch and high flight.

SpeedBlade's CG

The advanced head structure, Speed Pocket polymer, and multi-material badge absorb unwanted vibration to promote fantastic sound and feel. Each iron comes individually engineered to optimized distance, trajectory, control, and spin, thus balancing the distance gaps between each iron. That makes every iron in your bag a valuable asset, and the excellent long-iron distance closes the gap between your longest iron and shortest metal wood.

SpeedBlade's Face Flex

The Tour-inspired, Tour-shaped wedges feature blade-style construction for a great feel, and the ATV sole found in the sand and lob wedges allows for improved versatility from all lies.

SpeedBlade's Wedge

Five years ago, we challenged ourselves to create the best distance iron we could. We've taken everything we've learned in that time and made our most complete iron ever in SpeedBlade. It's combination of distance, performance, and forgiveness is unmatched.

Rated 5 out of 5 by The Secret is Out !!! Don't buy these irons if you belong to my club, they are so good I want to win everything. I switched from RBZ Tour Blades, to these Speed Blades only went with graphhite shaft instead of the heavier KBS steel shafts. The results are 15 more yards, easier swing and very accurate. I feel like I am forty again, hit the 7 iron 160 yards carry, I am 69 years young. They are not that hard to curve the ball either, but the flight is at least 10% higher and soft landing. When the winter wind kicks up here in SW Fla it could be a problem, but I will manage. If I can find a driver that hits it 15 yards longer I will go back to champion tees. September 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Impressive Just returned (and retired) after a 2 year assignment in Asia where I did not get to play much golf but had totally lost confidence in my irons. Mental block resulted in everything from toe to shank shots. Decided to upgrade my irons as a retirement gift to myself. I looked at just about everything available in my local Golfsmith including the SLDR irons. As soon as I picked up the demo #6 it just felt right - the top line, offset, weight and feel of the club seemed to beg to be hit long and straight. Nothing to lose with Golfsmith return policy so bagged a set. Off to the driving range, started with a 7 iron - center contact on s=every shot with really good ball flight. Next test my "nemesis" club - the 4 iron - again full and flush contact and amazing trajectory. I went through every club in the set, hit 150 balls in all and they gave me so much confidence I only hit two toe shots - and even they flew straight. Cannot speak to distance because: A. due to drought conditions my local driving range is as hard a s a parking lot. B. My iron play had been so lousy there really is no fair comparison. Note that I am 71 and don't be fooled in thinking that these clubs are for young bucks and low handicap players. Based on Golfsense analysis my swing speed is on the money for a Senior and my club and hand planes score 96% and 92% respectively so if you can swing well these clubs are highly recommended. Rated 5 out of 5 by very very good Pickup a couple of yards , approach iron very easy to use and long irons have an excellent feel and I consider them easier to hit than my original irons ( don't want to mentioned) July 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by A good choice - love Taylormade! These irons are good to hit despite being called 'blades'. At my handicap (17) and recovering from a broken left wrist I was still able to hit straight and reasonably long so I am very happy. February 4, 2014
