Tour Edge Exotics CB Pro Limited Edition Fairway Wood

The Tour Edge Exotics CB Pro Limited Edition Fairway Wood combines the smaller head size of the famous, Tour-winning CB2 fairway wood with the revolutionary new Slip Stream Sole to create the ultimate fairway wood for accomplished players.

The patent-pending Slip Stream Sole glides through the turf in remarkable fashion, minimizing interaction and allowing the head to maintain maximum speed through impact.

The CB Pro features Tour Edge's premium beta titanium cup face and hyper-steel body to produce maximum distance in a fairway wood. As a result, the characteristic time (CT) level reaches the USGA-allowed maximum. Complementing the CB Pro's superior head design, the Fujikura Speeder shafts feature advanced Tour-proven performance, control, and distance.

Additional features:

  • Forward-positioned center of gravity delivers a powerful, penetrating trajectory
  • Face angle: square
  • Grip: Black IOmic Stick 2.3

Rated 5 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent As expected... As an owner of a previous model Exotic 3 wood, I expected some improvements in this Limited Edition model. I've had 8 rounds now since receiving it and I'm more than pleased. It has excellent feel and set up. Well balanced throughout the swing and amazing distance. I play in Florida in the winter and many of the tight tee shots here, I've elected to use the Exotic over my driver. It gives me 240+ yards and increases my fairways hit significantly. This is exactly why I invested in this club and it does not disappoint... Big fan. March 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Fairway Wood Ever! Generally I am not overly impressed by claims of performance, most clubs perform about the same - I really liked the looks of the Tour Edge CB Pro, thus I purchased both the 3 & 5 woods. Wow, they really look great! However, they perform better than they look - BONUS!!!! March 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by With a price this steep, it better perform.... And DOES IT EVER! So, originally heard about this club at a different store. The 3 wood I've been using has been the best 3 wood I've hit with, but it's 10 years old. Though it's trusted, and I know if I want to hit a 235 yard shot straight, I can always trust it will get me there. However, I've been finding that gap was too much to bear with a new driver I had bought, and I was hitting my drives close to 300. I wanted something I could trust like my old 3 wood (R7 TP), but get me into that 255-260 range. Boy, does this club deliver! So far, I've only hit with a couple of rounds, but just like before, I trust that this club will do exactly what I want it to, with a flight path that bores through the wind, and lands softly on the green. I've hit with it out of the rough and off deadpan, and without fear of what the results will be. And the shaft...I feel like I can beat on this club and it delivers every time. Is this for everyone...I don't think so. But if you've had a hard time finding something you can absolutely love to hit off the deck, this might work for you. If I had any con's, it would be the sound. I loved how my last club sounded pure when you made pure contact. The perfect "ping" of titanium. But I believe this club only has a titanium face. It doesn't sounds as pure, but the contact and flight ARE. So, I guess that's the only off thing about this club. As for the price...yes, it's steep. But if you're looking for an ultimate gamer, this is it. They even give you a great leather headcover and Iomic grip. For far, it has been worth every penny spent. January 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hype or Facts? There is a lot of talk going on about this fairway wood concerning cost and effectiveness. Concerning the cost: High cost is not based on price but it is based on value. When consideration is given to the fact that the Speeder shaft alone is worth more than the price of an high end driver, and you consider the fact that the club is high titanium quality, the cost associated with putting a high quality club like the CB Pro together would easily exceed 30%more than the listed price. Individuals who have ordered custom clubs with end shafts easily pay more than the price of the CB Pro. In addition, Golfsmith occasional special deals provides nice incentive to buy this club. So concerning price, the fact is you actually get more than what you pay for. Effectiveness: For those of you who had the privilege of hitting a Speeder shaft it is evident that there is nothing like it. Speeder is not made for the faint hearted. This club is designed to be pounded. Most players hit down on their irons and take divots. Player irons are made to cut through the turf without losing much speed. However, fairway woods work better on clean hits, which is harder to achieve. The CB Pro allows golfers to swing down on the ball similar to an iron. This makes it easier to have consistent results. The harder I swung down on this club the further the ball went and the better it felt. It was like hitting a forged iron, which makes it easy to repeat time after time. Conclusion: This club is phenomenal, it is not for the faint of heart, but if you are willing to swing like an iron and go after the ball, this club will give you consistent results time after time. I tested this club out for weeks before I made my purchase and as soon as I saw a Golfsmith special I jumped on it. You may call it a lot of hype and pricey but I call it the best fairway wood ever made for the public...period. December 3, 2013
