TaylorMade SLDR Fairway Wood

The new cut-through Speed Pocket of the TaylorMade SLDR Fairway Wood flexes with more efficiency to achieve increased ball speeds, and the improved design allows for a further-forward center of gravity (CG) that produces less spin and a higher launch. Speed Pocket technology and the shallow face combine for easy launch and playability with sustained speed off the face, while Loft Sleeve technology allows for ±1.5° of loft change so that you can fine-tune the SLDR Fairway Wood to your specific swing.

SLDR Fairway Wood

"Our continued exploration of clubface dynamics enabled us to create a new Speed Pocket design that's smaller yet more efficient, and the weight we saved allowed us to move the CG lower and more forward. That's a win-win."

Rated 5 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing Fairway Wood The SLDR 3 Wood is a great golf club. It launches high and flies straight off the tee and off the deck. The club has a solid feel at impact and mishits still fly. Due to the heavy weight of this club, it is important that you commit to the shot. Decleration will result in very poor results It is important that you get fit for the right shaft and settings to maximize the clubs ability to your swing. April 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by As good as advertised! I have only had this club for two days, and it may be the best fairway wood that I have hit! The COG being moved forward really allows the ball to explode off of the face. I recommend it to those who struggle getting their 3 wood to elevate. November 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best fairway wood I have ever hit I've tried just about every fairway wood on the market over the last two seasons (Ping, Taylormade, Cobra, Nike, etc). While these clubs all felt good, they all provided me with the same problem, great off the tee, tough to hit off the deck, and very difficult to hit out of the rough. So I tried the Adams Tight Lies, and while this club was much easier to hit from any lie, I lost on average 20 to 30 yards. I picked up the Taylormade SLDR this morning, and it is by far the best fairway wood I have ever swung. It's compact head feels more traditional than most of the oversized fairway woods on the market, and it made it much easier to hit off the deck and out of the rough. It was easy to work either way and still be accurate, or just bomb it dead center, which gives me a lot of confidence. And best of all, this club is a beast! I have an average swing speed at best after multiple shoulder injuries, averaging about 230-250 yards with my old fairway woods. This club has added at least 25 yards to that and it's so easy to hit I'm not trying to kill the ball anymore, resulting in fewer bad swings. Great club. November 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Smooth, Solid, and very easy to hit! Im coming from the RBZ 3-wood. For me, the RBZ model had too deep a face. I felt comfortable hitting it off the tee, but I ended up taking a larger divot than desired trying to find the sweet spot. The SLRD solved this problem for me. It is a bit flatter on the bottom, and has a shallower face. The head has a slightly more solid, and compact feel compared to the RBZ model. It has already given me more confidence with my 3-wood out of the fairway/rough, and the fact I can can adjust the loft is just another bonus! Overall I couldn't be happier with this club!!
