TaylorMade SLDR S Fairway Wood

The TaylorMade SLDR S Fairway Wood is SLDR distance for all. Its low-profile head design with shallow face promotes easy launch for outstanding playability, while the Speed Pocket design offers a fast ball speed for longer distance. A low and forward center of gravity (CG) promotes fast ball speed and low spin for optimal launch conditions, and the Fujikura shaft is designed specifically for a fairway wood in order to promote long distance with controlled accuracy.

SLDR S Fairway Wood Center of Gravity

"Golfers were asking for a SLDR fairway that has a lower and more forgiving profile. The SLDR S Fairway Wood has a shallower face and larger head size engineered to deliver distance and playability. Combine that with a stunning satin silver crown with black button back for easy alignment and you have a club that inspires confidence and great results."

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by SLDR S Fairway Woods and Mini Driver I played for the first time on Saturday with the SLDR S HL 17 deg. 3 wood and 21 deg. HL 5 wood. I thought it would be impossible to beat my Jetspeed woods but these have a better shaft(for me anyway) and a more solid feel and it appears about 7-10 yards more distance. I also have the SLDR S TP Mini Driver. After a couple of my tee shots a fellow player said" I don't know why you don't hit that every time." August 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by great 3W I purchased the SLDR S 3W with Light/Senior flex because my swing speed has slowed over the years. I love this club. It is longer and straighter than my old 3W and I could not be more pleased with it. It is also easier to get your ball in the air than my old 3W (Adams Speedline model). July 29, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Learning to love this club For some reason, I've been a holdout for many years, unwilling to add a hybrid club to my bag. This 5 hybrid is my first and now I'm wondering why on earth I waited so long. I've only had it a few weeks and already it's become a wonderful go-to club for longer, high-lofted shots that need to settle quickly on the green ... and with a shorter shaft than long irons or fairway woods, it's easier to hit accurately from higher-cut rough areas, especially from ball-above-your-feet situations. Rated 3 out of 5 by Not for everyone I don't want to trash this club because when you hit the sweet spot the ball takes off like a B B . That said its not a very forgiving club you don't get away with mishits .I could see this club working well for a low handicap player but mid to high might be better off with a club such as the original Rocket Balls (this is what I traded my SLDR in for and I like it very much straight and long and much more forgiving) June 16, 2015
