Ping G30 Driver

The Ping G30 Driver features an emphasis on speed without sacrificing performance, setting this driver apart from all others.

G30 Crown Turbulators

To generate faster clubhead speed and ball velocity for longer drives, turbulators were engineered onto the crown of the 460cc head. Proven in wind-tunnel testing to reduce aerodynamic drag and create efficient airflow, the added speed from Turbulator Technology provides measurable distance gains for all skill levels. At address, they create a captured appearance with the ball and assist with alignment and inspiration.

G30 Variable Thickness Face

The G30's center of gravity (CG) position is the lowest and farthest back of any Ping model, ensuring optimal launch conditions and an even higher moment of inertia (MOI) in both axes for extreme forgiveness and maximum energy transfer. A new high-strength, lightweight T9S titanium face is thinner and hotter to optimize face deflection for faster ball speeds and longer drives. Another source of power is the TFC 419D high-balance-point shaft. The CG is closer to the grip end, allowing for a heavier head, which increases the MOI and contributes to the extremely low CG. The result is more energy, momentum and inertia for greater distance with accuracy.

G30 Adjustable Hosel

The adjustable hosel has the same mass and outer diameter as Ping's fixed hosels, providing the benefits of adjustability with no sacrifice in performance. Trajectory Tuning+ Technology offers five settings, allowing you to optimize your ball flight by increasing or reducing loft by 6/10ths of a degree or one full degree, to maximize distance and control. Settings are standard, +0.6°, +1°, -0.6°, and -1°.

Additional features:

  • Head size: 460cc
  • Materials: Ti 8-1-1 body, T9S titanium face
  • Length: 45.75"
  • Loft adjustability: ±1°
  • Sole CTP - greater range of weights accommodates wide range of after-market shafts for optimizing swingweight
  • TFC 419D Shaft - high balance point allows for heavier head (approximately 5 grams), which increases MOI for more distance and accuracy

Rated 5 out of 5 by 16 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Blessing for the Beginner I play about 6 times a month, on a course with dry fairways, tight lies and punishing roughs. This has humbled me into accepting the importance of an austere but straight drive. And G30 gave me just that. . G30, is the Jesus when it comes to mercy and forgiveness on the drives. And its really easy to get used to. It aided my swing and corrected my slice. Having been all praise for this stylish piece of equipment, I will advise other beginners to consider their limitations while forming expectations from the clubs. Playing with a D3 driver, rather than a D5, helped my game greatly. January 27, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Driver Ever I have struggled all year getting decent distance. Tried, Cobra and Taylor made with little help. I tried a new G30....WOW!! the sound, the ball flight and the distance, what a club! I am a senior at 68 with an average drive at 180 yards. After nine rounds I am averaging 202 with some as long as 235. I am one happy golfer. Just bought the 3 wood....can't wait to hit it. No, I do not work for Ping all my other clubs are Cobras. Rated 5 out of 5 by Changed my game! I want to preface this review by saying that I'm an avid reader of reviews and very skeptical of paid reviews. Many times I'll only read the 1 and 2 star reviews because I can't weed out the fake from the real reviewers. BUT KNOW THIS...I am not being paid for this (as much as I feel like I should be# and everything I'm writing is completely 100% true. I don't know what changed but over the last three years, I've really struggled with my driver. According to Golflogix, I'm a 12.9 handicap. Scores ranged from the mid 80's to mid 90's. My best scores were always when I could keep the ball in the fairway. I was going between the Cobra Amp driver #I have Cobra irons# and this one and I'd never spent over $150 on a driver. The reason I chose the Ping G30 was because I knew that if I went with the more expensive driver and still couldn't hit the ball straight, it was ALL me and no club could help. I am soooooo glad that I did. I got it just before a 3 day trip to Pinehurst with friends. Hit it at the driving range several times and was impressed with the results. But then again, I usually hit the ball well at the range. At Pinehurst, I stayed in the 80's all weekend. Played Southern Pines CC Friday, Whispering Pines Saturday #both courses# and Little River Sunday. Sunday, I shot an 81 and beat three guys I usually lose to. I've beaten them individually #usually when they have a bad round#, but never all three at the same time. The reason...I hit almost every fairway. The forgiveness of this club is astounding. There are times, I know I hit the ball off the toe or heel and it still goes straight. The added distance is also amazing. I'm not going to get into that though because I don't want to sound unreal #which it almost is#. Maybe the forgiveness has allowed me to swing faster because I'm not so worried about a massive slice. One friend even told me #no joke, he never says things like this# that he's not a believer in equipment changing your game BUT he stands corrected. I played Forest Oaks the Sunday before last and shot another 81. Again beating the other 3 guys #two were the same as Little River). Take it with a grain of salt if you want but that's my review and I'm in love with this driver. I just wish I could get out to play more than I do but that's hard with two little ones at the house. Now I can't say October 1, 2014
