Callaway XR Driver

Speed is everything, and it's the driving force behind the Callaway XR Driver. That means speed comes from an aerodynamic crown, from the R-MOTO face, from a maximum shaft load, and the list goes on and on. Callaway traveled down a new path to make a driver that's a proving ground for these great technologies. If it increases speed, it's in XR Driver, and that's why it's Callaway's fastest titanium driver ever.

Speed Step Crown

Speed from Speed Step Crown
To reduce drag and maximize speed through the swing, Callaway put in a Speed Step Crown and combined it with an optimized aerodynamic head shape. Everything about this driver is optimized for aero efficiency, which is critical to add speed with less drag.

RŸ-MOTO Face Technology

Speed from R-MOTO Face Technology
Callaway increased ball speeds across the face by reducing 10% of the face weight to make it thinner. R-MOTO leads to more energy efficient energy transfer all over the face, allowing Callaway to put the center of gravity (CG) 17% lower where most golfers want it, therefore delivering higher moment of inertia (MOI).

Maximum Shaft Load

Speed from Maximum Shaft Load
The shaft is a key component to speed, that's why the XR Driver comes stock with the new Project X LZ. It produces maximum shaft load during the downswing loading zone for greater energy transfer to the ball.

OptiFit Adjustability

OptiFit Adjustability
Choose from eight different loft and lie configurations to find the perfect launch for your ball flight. When you get the right launch conditions, you get more distance.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not for me Can't find the fairway to save my life with this club. A bit longer than my old driver but that isn't helping much from deep in the woods. Hate to say it but I need to pull this from my bag. Regret the purchase. September 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by This driver is straight and LONG! I've had a Taylormade R7 for 10 years and decided to test some new drivers this year. I tested this driver against a TaylorMade R15, & Aeroburner, Titleist's new offering, and this driver was straight on the simulator and much straighter on the course that the R15. I love the way this club looks at address and it has really performed for me in real life. When your playing partner is laughing out loud at how far you've hit your drive AND kept in in the fairway, you know you've really connected with it. Get fit by a club fitter because your natural swing will determine which driver should be the right one for you. Don't leave what could be the best driver you've ever hit sitting in the store. Rated 5 out of 5 by Very forgiving driver Coming off a 1997 vintage Callaway Big Bertha driver, I am amazed at how forgiving this club is. Through two rounds with this driver now, distance is similar to my old driver (maybe a little more if I catch it just right) but miss-hits are way down. I'm no longer hesitant to use my driver on narrow holes, and a miss-hit still carries 80% of a good hit. The simulator in the store actually seems to have de-rated the performance a bit; I'm getting about 20 yards more on the course than I did in the simulator. August 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by it should be illegal 1. Amazing feel when caught in the sweet spot 2. So much forgiveness it should be illegal (especially on mishits out towards the toe) 3. Looks really cool at address 4. Great sound when struck sweet 5. Can crank down on it when you have a bit of anger from missing that 3 foot birdie put on the last hole If you haven't tried it and you are looking for a driver DO NOT LEAVE THE STORE UNTIL YOU TRY IT July 14, 2015
